Can I recover data from a broken iPhone that won't turn on?
In nearly every case, yes, it is absolutely possible to recover data from a broken iPhone that won't turn on.
There are many reasons why your iPhone might not turn on. Your iPhone may have been dropped on the ground, exposed to water, or even run over by a car. In any case, there is a specific technique and procedure that we use here at iBoard Repair to get your data back to you. This may be as simple as replacing damaged parts such as the screen, battery, and charging port.
More commonly, your motherboard itself will have sustained damage and need addressing. We do this by diagnosing your motherboard under a microscope which allows us an up close view of the components.
We use a multimeter to measure the different voltage lines for both voltage and resistance. We compare these values to donor motherboards as well as boardview software in order to find which lines are not working properly. We then use microsoldering to fix those lines. That may mean replacing damaged components such as capacitors, diodes, and IC's, or even going so far as to perform a full CPU Swap. Whatever the case may be, iBoard Repair can still recover data from your broken iPhone that won't turn on.
